Nebraska Rises Over Iowa, 1-0

The University of Iowa women’s soccer team battled through regulation and into overtime Thursday night in Lincoln, but the efforts were not enough as the team fell to the Cornhuskers, 1-0. Women's Report: 5 Basketball Questions

No. 15 Penn State women’s soccer won a thrilling nail biter against Nebraska, 5-4, Friday night at Jeffrey Field. Whitney Church tallied her first collegiate goal, a game-winner in the 79th minute, to cap a nine-goal outburst between the two squads which was the most goals in a Penn State match since a 7-2 win vs. Pittsburgh in 2002. Michigan State Shuts out Michigan

The previous four matches in the rivalry’s history ended in ties, but Megan Marsack and Laura Heyboereach scored second-half markers to help Michigan State down Michigan, 2-0, at DeMartin Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Spartan keeper Jill Flietstra made five saves en route to tallying her seventh shutout of the season.
