There were a pair of Big Ten women’s basketball games on Sunday afternoon. No. 15 Penn State kicked off the action by dropping No. 22 Iowa, 87-71, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. So Wisconsin’s Nicole Bauman had a pretty big shot in the Badgers’ game against Green Bay on Monday. With her team trailing 55-52, the sophomore guard tied up the game with a long jumper with just 0.2 seconds left in the second half. The shot forced the game into overtime.

The Big Ten wrapped up women’s nonconference play Sunday and will open the conference season Thursday night. Four teams enter the conference slate ranked in the AP and Coaches polls: Penn State (No. 15; No. 17), Purdue (No. 17; No. 19), Nebraska (No. 18; No. 15) and Iowa (No. 22; No. 25). There’s also an undefeated team, Indiana, which is 13-0 and off to the best start in program history.
