Women's roundup: Indiana nips Purdue on buzzer-beater

Jasmine McGhee hit a buzzer-beater to help Indiana upset in-state rival and No. 22 Purdue, 62-61, on Wednesday night at Assembly Hall. The game-winning shot accounted for just two of McGhee’s game-high 26 points. The Hoosier was an impressive 11-of-17 from the field in the upset. Women's hoops roundup: Iowa upsets No. 18 Purdue

Sunday featured a light schedule on the Big Ten women’s hardwood, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some great action. Michigan edges rival Michigan State, 70-69

In front of a season-high 5,800 fans, Michigan outlasted in-state rival Michigan State to claim its third straight victory, 70-69, Saturday afternoon at Crisler Center. The Wolverines relied on a career-high 24 points from senior guard Jenny Ryan to help snap a 12-game losing streak against the Spartans. Women's hoops roundup: Michigan upsets No. 13 Purdue

Sunday’s slate of  five Big Ten women’s games was highlighted by Michigan’s 67-56 upset victory at No. 13 Purdue. Kate Thompson hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to help lead the Wolverines to the big road upset. Another ranked team was in action, as No. 8 Penn State topped Michigan State, 71-56.
