In front of the 166th consecutive sellout crowd at the Nebraska Coliseum, No. 4 Nebraska volleyball knocked off top-ranked UCLA in five (25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 19-25, 15-13). Nebraska honors memory of slain Saint Louis product

Before Nebraska and Saint Louis faced each other in their season opening volleyball match Friday, the Huskers and their home crowd observed a moment of silence in honor of former Saint Louis volleyball player Megan Boken. The 23-year-old native of Wheaton, Ill., was shot and killed in her car Saturday in St. Louis. The game was carried on the Big Ten Digital Network and you can watch the moment in the video in this post.

Coaches pick Nebraska to win 2012 volleyball title

Big Ten coaches voted defending Big Ten champion Nebraska as the conference favorite for the 2012 season, it was announced Thursday. Earning the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship last season, the Huskers top the poll for the first time as members of the Big Ten.

BTN Announces 2012 Women's Volleyball Coverage

CHICAGO – BTN will televise more volleyball this season than ever before, with at least 50 matches set to air on BTN.  The season begins with defending Big Ten Champion Nebraska hosting 2011 National Champion UCLA and Stanford at Penn State in the season’s first two weeks. The games will also be available at BTN2Go.
