Branden Dawson breaks hand, out four-to-five weeks

Injuries have been an ongoing issue for Michigan State’s men’s basketball team this season, but this one is the most bizarre of them all. MSU junior forward Branden Dawson will miss four-to-five weeks after breaking a bone in his right hand. Dawson said the injury was caused after slamming his hand on a table in frustration during a Thursday morning film session.

If you aren’t on it already, you may want to jump on the Michigan bandwagon before it hits 88 mph and vanishes. The Wolverines are legit, notching another big win last night. This time, hard-charging and high-flying Iowa was the victim, as the Wolverines moved to 6-0 in the Big Ten. And, they are doing all of this without injured Mitch McGary, out with a back injury. Oh, and Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway, Jr., also are gone. It’s incredible, really.

Minnesota’s senior guard drove to the basket and exploded for a huge one-handed slam over Wisconsin freshman Nigel Hayes. Even better, Hollins was fouled on the slam. Watch it in this post.
