The Big Ten released the 2014 Big Ten Baseball Tournament bracket on Saturday evening, with Indiana securing the top seed after winning its second straight conference title. The Hoosiers claimed the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament after going 21-3 in conference play.

Ohio State outfielder Tim Wetzel closed out the final home game of his career on quite a high note. The Buckeyes’ senior left fielder went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run at the plate, and also made two incredible catches in Ohio State’s 5-2 win over Northwestern on Saturday afternoon.

For the second consecutive season, Indiana is the outright Big Ten champion. The Hoosiers, who owned a share of the conference title entering the final series of the season, wrapped up the outright crown Friday night by virtue of Illinois’ victory over second-place Nebraska. Indiana did its part, too, knocking off Minnesota, 7-3, later in the night to tally its 20th Big Ten win.
Tom Crean threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Minnesota-Indiana baseball game Thursday night. The Hoosiers, who were looking to clinch their second consecutive outright Big Ten title, lost a 2-1 decision in extra innings. Indiana can wrap up the outright crown with a win Friday or Saturday. It could also do it with a Nebraska loss in one of its final two games. Watch Indiana host Minnesota at 8 p.m. ET tonight on BTN/BTN2Go.
