On Thursday night Michigan State found their shooting touch against Purdue as the Spartans jumped out to 49-38 first-half lead by hitting 13 of their 19 three-point attempts. But they didn’t stop there. The Spartans finished with 17 to set a new Michigan State record for three-pointers in one game.

Video: Scuffle leads to 10 consecutive free throws

Ever see 10 consecutive free throws in a game? You have if you saw Ohio State’s 76-60 victory over Northwestern on Wednesday night. A scuffle with 5:24 left in the second half led to the ejections of Northwestern’s Nikola Cerina and Ohio State’s LaQuinton Ross, and after an extended delay to sort out all of the penalties, the Buckeyes shot four free throws and the Wildcats six. Michigan hoops player does LeBron-like dunk

It was just this past week that NBA superstar LeBron James put on his semi-annual dunk contest, which was caught on film by fellow members of the Miami Heat. One of James’ signature dunks consisted of him throwing the ball off the wall, catching it and throwing down a huge reverse slam.

Tim Frazier hits game-winning shot at Indiana

Penn State guard Tim Frazier had his “senior moment” on Wednesday night, and it will be talked about for some time in State College. Frazier took an inbounds pass, went to his left, and hit a driving layup with 6.1 seconds left to give the Nittany Lions a memorable 66-65 comeback victory over Indiana.

Illinois entered Sunday’s game at Penn State riding an eight-game losing streak. The Illini’s struggles nor the long trek to State College, Pa., could keep 120 members of the Orange Krush from making the trip – and, most importantly, continuing its annual prank at a visiting arena. As it it has in previous years, the Orange Krush arrived to the game in the home team’s colors (blue and white), only to later reveal their true colors.

If we’ve learned one thing from Traevon Jackson during his Wisconsin career, it’s that he isn’t afraid to take – and make – the big shot. The junior, who has a handful of late game-tying or game-winning shots to his name, added another game-winner in Sunday’s 60-58 victory over No. 8 Michigan State. This time, following an Adreian Payne game-tying triple, Jackson answered with a jumper to avoid overtime and a possible fourth straight home loss.

Bo Pelini and Nebraska have a new closer that is tough to top when it comes to recruiting. That would be the “cat” in @FauxPelini‘s Twitter photo. Pelini joked with BTN’s Mike Hall that the cat was influential in landing this year’s recruiting class during Wednesday’s “Signing Day Special.” The cat did make a few “recruiting visits,” after all, according to this tweet. Just a freshman, Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes is as good as it gets when it comes to a soundbite in the Big Ten. Hayes is an engaging interview who tells the truth, has a good sense of humor and boasts a great delivery. Video: Indiana's Yogi Ferrell drains career-high 7 treys

Want to talk about an efficient day? Indiana point guard Yogi Ferrell had one of the more efficient performances you’ll ever see in Sunday afternoon’s 63-52 victory over No. 14 Michigan. Ferrell scored 27 points on just 10 shots, thanks in large part to a career-high seven 3-pointers. The star sophomore finished 7-of-8 from distance and 8-of-10 overall, plus he hit four free throws.
