Big Ten Women’s Tournament bracket released

The Big Ten Conference announced the bracket on Sunday for the 2012 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, with conference champion Penn State earning the No. 1 seed and one of four first-round byes. The tournament is set for Thursday-Sunday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, previously known as Conseco Fieldhouse. BTN and BTN2Go will air the tournament’s first 10 games, starting with No. 7 Michigan-No. 10 Illinois at 11:30 a.m. ET Thursday. The championship game will be played at 4 p.m. ET Sunday.

Prahalis scores 34, Ohio State Beats Wisconsin

(AP) Samantha Prahalis scored a career-high 34 points and No. 10 Ohio State made the most of an eight-day layoff to beat Wisconsin 72-58 on Monday night, the Buckeyes’ 20th consecutive victory over the Badgers. Tayler Hill, the Big Ten’s leading scorer, added 18 points for the Buckeyes (21-2, 8-2), who had lots of time to mull a disappointing 76-65 loss at Minnesota on Jan. 29. Ohio State broke the game open with a 16-3 second-half run.
