There’s never been a hockey game played at historic Soldier Field in Chicago. That all will change Sunday, as No. 18 Wisconsin battles rival and No. 2 Minnesota in the second of two games at the Office Max Hockey City Classic. The Badgers and Gophers are scheduled to battle at 4:30 p.m. ET on BTN/BTN2Go. Before the puck drops, though, make sure to catch our “Big Ten Hockey Pre-Game” at 4 p.m.

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team will wear a special throwback uniform for the OfficeMax Hockey City Classic on Feb. 17 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The sweater is a reproduction of what the 1931-32 team wore, and it’s pretty slick. See a photo of the sweater in this post.

Six national titles. Eleven conference tournament championships. Twelve Frozen Fours. The Wisconsin men’s hockey team has had no shortage of success during its existence. To honor its great history and its 50th anniversary season in the modern era, Wisconsin will wear a commemorative patch on the left shoulder of its sweater this upcoming season.
