It’s Monday, and that means it’s time for my latest Big Ten hoops power rankings. This week, following Michigan’s first loss, there’s a new – and familiar – No. 1. See where I rank your team in this post. Don’t agree with the rankings? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment box at the bottom of the post. Or tweet it my way (@BTNBrentYarina).
Sam Ostarello had 22 points and 19 rebounds Monday night and No. 12 Purdue defeated Ohio State 82-75 in triple overtime. Courtney Moses led the Boilermakers (14-2, 3-0) with 24 points. Her layup late in the second extra period tied it at 68 after Ohio State had a 68-62 lead. All three of the Boilermakers’ Big Ten wins have come in overtime. Read the full AP recap, see the box score and watch our interviews in this post.
BTN’s new series “BTN LiveBIG” continues Monday with stories highlighting how the Boilermaker community is making an impact in West Lafayette and around the world by developing electric vehicles to conserve resources, building basic utility vehicles for use in developing countries, and by partnering with organizations that help give at-risk teens a better life. The program will air at 10 p.m. ET on Monday.
