Purdue is headed to a bowl for the first time since the 2007 season, and just like that year it will be playing in Detroit. Danny Hope and the Boilermakers take on Western Michigan in the Little Caesars Bowl at 4:30 p.m. ET Dec. 27.

Purdue announced that coach Danny Hope has been given a two-year contract extension, pushing his deal through Dec. 31, 2016. Hope’s deal had three years remaining on it.

Wednesday’s and Thursday’s games marked the end of non-conference play for many Big Ten members. With the holiday break looming, let’s run down who has been naughty and nice.

There were a quartet of Big Ten women’s hoops games Thursday, and it was a highly successful night. The conference went 4-0, headlined by No. 11 Ohio State’s 79-57 victory over Washington State.
