Brittany Rayburn hit the game-winning shot in the final seconds to lift No. 25 Purdue past No. 12 Penn State, 68-66, in the semifinals of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Boilermakers will play Nebraska, which beat three-time reigning champ Ohio State (recap), in the title game at 4 p.m. ET Sunday.
The Big Ten women’s basketball coaches held a teleconference to preview the Big Ten Basketball Tournament with reporters from around the league, and we’ve posted the audio from each coach in the post below. The 2011-12 All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Teams were announced live on BTN on Monday night. Ohio State’s Samantha Prahalis, Minnesota’s Rachel Banham and Penn State’s Coquese Washington were named player of the year, freshman of the year and coach of the year, respectively, by both the coaches and media. Prahalis was the lone unanimous choice on both first teams, as well. Watch our interview with Prahalis now.
