Penn State women advance to first NCAA title game

The Penn State women’s soccer (21-3-2) team will be appearing in its first ever NCAA National Championship game after senior midfielder Christine Nairn tapped in the game-winner just 1:12 into overtime Friday to give Penn State a 2-1 win over Florida State. The Nittany Lions are just the second Big Ten team to play for the national title, the first being the 1991 Wisconsin Badgers.

Penn State can't catch Boston College

Boston College beat Penn State 73-61 on Wednesday at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park. Olivier Hanlan sparked Boston College (3-4) with 22 points for the Eagles in the game. Joe Rahon shot 4-of-7 from the field and scored 14 points for Boston College.
