Minnesota takes lead into NCAA wrestling finals

The 2014 NCAA Wrestling Championships has reached Saturday night’s finals, and Minnesota sits atop the team standings. The Gophers, with 104 points, lead three-time reigning champ and Big Ten rival Penn State (101.5), which is in second place. Iowa (74.5) is fourth, Ohio State (52) seventh and Nebraska (43.5) 10th. Although relatives can be a good match, they aren’t always.  So Be the Match, a nonprofit organization, focuses on getting people to get tested and then listed in the donor registry.  People who are registered only donate when a match is found.

B1G Hockey Tourney: Badgers win, advance to final

Michael Mersch scored two goals and Joel Rumpel totaled 24 saves as Wisconsin kicked off the second day of the Big Ten Men’s Hockey Tournament with a 2-1 victory over Penn State. The Badgers will advance to the championship game where they will play Ohio State. That game is set to begin at 8 p.m. ET and can be seen on BTN/BTN2Go.
