Big Ten women's hoops: Opponents for the 2016 conference season

The Big Ten has released a breakdown of conference opponents for the 2016 women’s basketball season. All 14 Big Ten teams will play a 18-game conference schedule, playing five teams both home and away and eight teams just one time. Here is a look at the conference opponents for every Big Ten team. Big Ten reprimands Patrick Chambers, fines Penn State $10,000

The Big Ten office issued a public reprimand of Patrick Chambers for violating the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy following Penn State’s game against Maryland on Saturday. In addition, the conference announced that the institution has been fined $10,000 as a result of the violation. Patrick Chambers met with the media Monday, and he addressed his critical comments about the officiating following Penn State’s narrow loss to Maryland on Saturday night. Chambers was frustrated for several reasons, none bigger than the controversial call that led to Jordan Dickerson’s fifth foul and disqualification.
