One of the top names in NASCAR will be racing in the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 with a car that features a Big Ten theme to it. For nearly 70 years now, the Fulbright Program has given scholarships, international exposure and professional opportunities to some of the brightest minds among university students and faculty the world over. Historically, the Big Ten Conference has been well represented among Fulbright Scholars and Students, and this year is no exception. Five Big Ten universities had six faculty members apiece among U.S. Fulbright Scholars in 2014-5, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education, which placed them in a tie for fifth-place among all U.S. research institutions.
