Northwestern advanced to the Big Ten Conference Men’s Soccer Championship by defeating Indiana 1-1 (3-2 on penalty kicks) on Friday at Michigan. Wisconsin could come back and fell 1-0 to Penn State in the second semifinal. The championship match will be played Sunday at noon ET and the game will air live on the Big Ten Network. The ninth-ranked Indiana men’s soccer team sent seniors Nick Blevins, Chris Estridge, Tyler McCarroll, Tommy Meyer and Alec Purdie out in style with a 1-0 victory over Ohio State (10-6-1, 4-2 B1G) Saturday afternoon on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium. The No. 4 Nebraska volleyball team (17-1, 10-0) made history Saturday night, overcoming No. 1 Illinois in a 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-19, 25-11) victory.
