It was a super Saturday for Michigan athletics. [ MORE: Derrick Walton Jr. flirts with triple-double in win vs. Penn State ] The sixth-ranked Michigan hockey team took down No. 15 Penn State, 6-3, on Saturday night to clinch a sweep in the inaugural BTN Super Saturday doubleheader at Madison Square Garden. Earlier Saturday, the Michigan men’s basketball team beat Penn State, 79-72, to improve to 7-2 in the Big Ten. Watch our favorite goals from Michigan’s win over Penn State below.

BTN kicks off coverage before 'Super Saturday' gets underway

Super Saturday is here! #BTNinNYC got underway Friday afternoon at Slate Restaurant & Bar with a special edition of BTN Live. BTN’s Dave Revsine, Jon Crispin and Taylor Rooks were joined by several special guests to preview the inaugural Super Saturday, a Big Ten basketball and hockey doubleheader at Madison Square Garden featuring Michigan and Penn State. Guests included former Michigan Fab Five member Jimmy King, former Indiana and NBA star Isiah Thomas and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany, among others. Big Ten announces Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners

The Big Ten announced on Wednesday the 28 honorees named Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2014-15 academic year. These standouts were chosen from a group of more than 350 students honored throughout the academic year who had displayed positive sportsmanship. One member of each varsity sports team on every campus was chosen by his or her institution as a Sportsmanship Award honoree, and two Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners were then selected from each institution.
