Maryland, Michigan advance to Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament title

There were two great Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament games on Friday. Maryland eliminated Northwestern in double overtime in the first game of the day. In second semifinal between Michigan and Penn State, Katie Trombetta scored a game-winning goal in overtime to top Penn State, 2-1. No. 1 Maryland will take on No. 2 Michigan in the championship game at noon ET on Sunday. 2015 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament bracket announced

After clinching its second straight outright Big Ten Championship with a win at Iowa on Saturday, Maryland clinched the No. 1 seed in the 2015 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament. The tournament will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, beginning Thursday, Nov. 5. The tournament champion will earn the Big Ten’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
