Here's how to watch the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament

The Big Ten has announced the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament bracket, with Illinois earning the No. 1 seed after clinching its 30th conference championship. [ MORE: View the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament bracket ] The tournament is a double-elimination format that will begin on Wednesday at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn, with the title contest slated for Sunday afternoon. The tournament champion will earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. First pitch of the tournament is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, when No. 3 Michigan takes on No. 6 Indiana. BTN will provide live

BTN announces Big Ten baseball tourney coverage

CHICAGO – BTN’s coverage of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament begins at 6 PM ET on Wednesday with No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 8 Iowa from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb., home of the College World Series. The network will also carry games 6, 7 and 8 on Thursday, each game Friday and Saturday and the Big Ten Baseball Tournament Championship Game, which will air at 2 PM ET on Sunday. The Big Ten on Tuesday announced the 2014 baseball All-Big Ten Teams and individual award winners, as voted by the conference’s coaches. Indiana’s Sam Travis was the unanimous choice for Player of the Year, teammate Joey DeNato garnered Pitcher of the Year accolades and Tracy Smith was tabbed Coach of the Year, while Ohio State’s Tanner Tully took home Freshman of the Year honors. Penn State baseball turns two triple plays in a game

It is no secret that turning a triple play is extremely rare. Turning two triple plays in a single game is pretty much unheard of. However, Penn State’s baseball team did just that in a 4-2 loss to Michigan State on Friday, becoming just the second team to accomplish the feat in NCAA Division I history. The first triple play occurred in the fourth inning, when Penn State shortstop Jim Haley snagged a line drive off the bat of Michigan State’s Blaine Salter, ran over to tag second base and then threw to first to complete the triple play.
