Bowl Projections: OSU to title game, MSU Rose Bowl

Crazy. That’s all I’m gonna say about that Alabama-Auburn game. The fallout of that zaniness scrambled the Big Ten Bowl Projections, which is why I do this in pencil—or at least on my nifty HP EliteBook 844Op. Alabama’s loss to Auburn puts Ohio State in position to play in the BCS title game. Michigan State also looks primed to make its first trip to the Rose Bowl in 26 years. Twitter: Is title game Big Ten's biggest game since '06?

The Big Ten title game is going to be great. Not only do you have 11-1 Michigan State vs. 12-0 Ohio State, you have Michigan State’s No. 1 defense vs. Ohio State’s No. 1 offense. There’s more intriguing storylines, too. Like, Ohio State can make the BCS title game with a win. That got BTN’s Mike Hall wondering if this was the biggest Big Ten game since Michigan-Ohio State in 2006. Dienhart: Ohio State deserving of No. 2 ranking

As I suspected, Ohio State ascended from No. 3 to No. 2 in the BCS standings following its win at Michigan and the loss of BCS No. 1 Alabama to BCS No. 4 Auburn on Saturday. In the just-revealed BCS standings, the Buckeyes are behind No. 1 Florida State. Auburn moved from No. 4 to No. 3 in the BCS standings. Alabama is No. 4. The Buckeyes have a .950 BCS score; the Tigers have a .923. The fact Ohio State is 12-0 and Auburn is 11-1 is the primary reason why the Tigers didn’t leap over the Buckeyes, as

MSU vs. Ohio State: This is what good football looks like

Get me some visine. My vision must be blurry. I thought I just saw two Big Ten teams ranked in the top 10 of the BCS Standings — and both teams are well deserving of it. Really? This is happening? Well, let me check this again… Yup. It’s still there. Make a mental note of this Big Ten football fans. This is what good football looks like. Power Rankings: Ohio State starts No. 1, ends No. 1

My final Big Ten Power Rankings, presented by ArcelorMittal, remain relatively unchanged after the final week of regular-season action. There are some potential debates. Like, should Minnesota be ahead of Nebraska? Still, there is no arguing about who the top two teams are. Dienhart: Here's what I learned in Week 14

A lot went on during the final weekend of the regular season, with Ohio State and Michigan State ending with wins to set up a clash between a 12-0 and 11-1 teams in the Big Ten title game. It should be a great battle. Here’s what I learned. Hang on, there’s a lot to cover. 1. If Braxton Miller had played every game this season, he’d be a top Heisman contender—if not THE top Heisman contender. No quarterback is playing better coming down the stretch. Miller was at his best as a runner at Michigan, carrying 16 times for 153

Marcus Hall apologizes for behavior Saturday

Ohio State’s Marcus Hall took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to apologize for his actions in Saturday’s scuffle at Michigan. Hall was ejected for his role in the second-quarter mixup – along with teammate Dontre Wilson and a Michigan player. On his way to the tunnel, Hall threw his helmet to the ground, kicked the bench and made an obscene gesture to the crowd. Read his apology in this post.
