NCAA Basketball: Big Ten Tournament-Ohio State vs Michigan

Dienhart: Michigan should be 'confident, cocky'

INDIANAPOLIS — Michigan comes at foes in waves. Ready or not, here come the Wolverines. And, god bless if you aren’t ready, because you’ll be run off the floor, up the ramp and out the door. The start of today’s game with Ohio State was a perfect example. There was … A Nik Stauskas three-pointer. A Glenn Robinson III three-pointer. A Caris LeVert three-pointer. Two GR3 jumpers. A Jordan Morgan slam. Just like that, it was 15-2 with only 4:25 off the clock. Thad Matta hadn’t even broken a sweat and his offensively challenged team already was in a deep

Big Ten Geeks: Nebraska lets one slip away

A central tenant of Nebraska’s offense under Tim Miles has been to embrace your inner ballhog (our words, not his). While this approach may not win you many friends at the YMCA, it’s a perfectly acceptable strategy in the world of college basketball. With fewer passes, you have fewer turnovers, and a low-turnover offense is in itself more efficient. Sure, you won’t shoot great percentages, and you won’t get many assists (Nebraska is near the bottom of DI in assists per made field goal), but I’d argue that this collection of Huskers just isn’t build to shoot high percentages anyway.

Big Ten Geeks: An Easy Bubble Solver Update

We sit a mere two days from Selection Sunday, yet much is still to be determined in Indianapolis. Thursday’s quarterfinals saw Minnesota and Illinois keep hope alive. It’s a quick, easy, and objective way to get a feel for who’s truly on the bubble and who isn’t. You simply add together each team’s KenPom rank and RPI rank, then sort them from smallest to largest.
