Like ESPN’s list, four Big Ten teams land on SI’s preseason top 25, and it’s the same teams, in the same order: Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Nebraska. Sports Illustrated released five regional covers for its College Football Preview magazine Wednesday morning, and Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is one of the cover boys. The publication picks the Buckeyes No. 4 in its preseason top 25, the same spot it was last year, good enough for inclusion in the inaugural College Football Playoff. The Big Ten Conference announced its 2014 women’s soccer preseason coaches’ poll and players to watch list on Wednesday, with Penn State earning top honors among the 14 conference teams. The Nittany Lions enter the season as the conference favorites after making their 19th straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013.

With the College Football Playoff era upon us, ESPN.com decided to assemble a 13-member committee to create its preseason Top 25 Power Rankings. Four Big Ten teams made the list, headlined by Ohio State (No. 6) and Michigan State (No. 7), last year’s Big Ten title game participants. Wisconsin came in at No. 17, and Nebraska No. 22.
