Earlier this fall we launched BTN Connect, a great place to go during Saturday football games to track the Twitter conversations surrounding your teams, vote in TV polls, and find out what names are trending. For instance, when Michigan State’s Le’Veon Bell made the leap (see video in this post), his name took off on Twitter.
With the Big Ten season set to kick off this weekend, it’s time to check out the upcoming match-ups and see who may be equipped to give their coach a Gatorade shower this fall. In four years of playing college soccer in the Big Ten at Northwestern and one year of observing it, you begin to notice trends as to why certain teams win the title in a given year.
Every week, BTN.com’s Brent Yarina (@BTNBrentYarina) and Tom Dienhart (@BTNTomDienhart) offer their predictions for each Big Ten football game. We also provide a poll for all of the games so fans can vote for their winners. After three weeks, it’s Tom and BTN.com fans on top, at 28-8, while Brent is in the cellar, at 27-9. See our Week 4 predictions and choose your winners in this post.

Each Tuesday morning during the Big Ten football season, all 12 coaches hold a Big Ten teleconference with reporters from around the country. We post the audio Tuesday afternoon for each segment of the call, and we do this every week. Also, @B1Gfootball spotlights a tweet or three from each coach on the call live on Twitter in case you want to follow along.
