Four Big Ten teams were selected to the 2015 NCAA Softball Tournament, as announced on the NCAA Selection Show Sunday night. The Big Ten Conference announced the 2015 All-Conference Teams and individual award winners on Wednesday. Minnesota’s Sara Groenewegen captured Player of the Year honors, Michigan’s Megan Betsa was named the Pitcher of the Year and Northwestern’s Sabrina Rabin was tabbed Freshman of the Year. Michigan’s Carol Hutchins was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year. Five Big Ten softball teams earned NCAA tournament berths Sunday night, led by Minnesota, which won the Big Ten Tournament championship and earned the No. 16 overall seed. 2014 Big Ten softball tournament schedule

The Big Ten conference announced the 2014 Big Ten Softball Tournament bracket on Sunday, with Michigan earning the No. 1 seed after clinching a share of its 18th conference championship. Nebraska, which secured the No. 2 seed in the tournament, also earned a share of its first Big Ten title after completing a three-game sweep of Indiana on Sunday. The tournament will begin on Thursday with the title contest slated for Saturday night at Sharon J. Drysdale Field in Evanston, Ill.
