No. 11 Ohio State holds off Nebraska, 63-56

Lenzelle Smith Jr. had 21 points and No. 11 Ohio State held off a late Nebraska surge for a 63-56 victory Saturday night. Ohio State (17-4, 7-2 Big Ten) led 53-38 after a pair of free throws by Aaron Craft with 9:05 left.

Thursday's women's hoops roundup

Sam Ostarello had 14 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night to lead No. 14 Purdue to a 59-42 win over Indiana. KK Houser and April Wilson scored 12 points apiece for the Boilermakers (18-3, 7-1 Big Ten). Taylor Manuel added 11 points for Purdue, which held a 45-30 rebounding edge. It was one of six games in the Big Ten on Thursday and several of them ended in upsets.

No. 23 Minnesota ends funk, blows out Nebraska

Rodney Williams snapped out of a funk to score 23 points and No. 23 Minnesota got a much-needed confidence boost with an 84-65 victory over Nebraska on Tuesday night. Andre Hollins scored 14 points and Austin Hollins had 13 points and five assists for the Golden Gophers (16-5, 4-4 Big Ten), who snapped a four-game losing skid that caused them to plummet in the rankings.
