Shawn Eichorst releases statement on Bo Pelini

Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst released a statement on head coach Bo Pelini on Saturday morning. Read the full release in this post. [ AP: Bo Pelini: ‘If they want to fire me, go ahead ] Here’s the full release: “My approach has always been to not comment publicly about our coaches until their full seasons are complete, as I strongly believe it is unfair and counter to best practices. If everyone could close out a career like this

Saturday will be a day filled with mixed emotions throughout the University of Wisconsin’s college campus. Chris Borland will be playing his final home game as a Badger. It’s the sad reality of the situation, even though we don’t want it to happen. For the last four years, Badgers fans have been blessed with the luxury of seeing Borland play on Saturdays. Yet they all knew this day would come. The same way parents know that one day their kids will move out of the house, create a new college experience, and one day build a family of their own.

Best moments from Iowa's big win over Nebraska

(AP) Jake Rudock threw for two touchdowns, including a 24-yarder to Kevonte Martin-Manley right after Iowa had stuffed Nebraska on a fake punt, and the Hawkeyes finished the regular season with a 38-17 victory on Friday. The Hawkeyes converted two of Nebraska’s three turnovers into touchdowns and got a short field for a third TD after the failed fake punt. Seven of Iowa’s 14 possessions started on the Cornhuskers’ side of the 50. Iowa (8-4, 5-3 Big Ten) doubled its win total from a year ago and won a fourth road game for the first time since 2009.
