Big Ten football is set to kick off in exactly two weeks. As the season approaches, excitement is at a high, but there are still several questions surrounding every Big Ten team. How do we go about summing up all of these questions for 14 teams? Simple — We follow the rules of Twitter. Here is one pressing question I have for every Big Ten team, in 140 characters or less. Site ranks Ann Arbor No. 2 college town in America

Rankings are always fun. They’re even more fun in the summer, when we need something to debate until the games start. Well, bestcollegereviews.org posted a popular list ranking the best college towns that made its way around social media Thursday, and the Big Ten was all over it. In fact, the Big Ten owned two of the top three towns: Ann Arbor (No. 2) and Madison (No. 3). Boulder came in at No. 1, for the curious minds. Editor’s note: This ranking was compiled by bestcollegereviews.org and does not reflect the opinion of BTN or any employees. Get our latest

Countdown to kickoff: West scariest player?

Kickoff is fast approaching. To help count down the days to Aug. 28, the BTN.com team is discussing one topic every day. Think of it as our countdown to kickoff. Today’s topic: West scariest player? See Tom Dienhart, Sean Merriman and Brent Yarina’s picks in this post. See our other 2014 predictions: Tom Dienhart: Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin. No offense to Ameer Abdullah, but Gordon is the most electric running back in the Big Ten—if not the nation. He’s the quintessential “big play waiting to happen,” and he scares defenses, defensive coordinators, coaches, fans, everyone. *** Sean Merriman: Brandon Scherff,

Are you ready for college football to start already? The Big Ten season officially kicks off in 15 days with a doubleheader of action as Minnesota takes on Eastern Illinois, while Rutgers will battle Washington State. We have seen plenty of preseason rankings thus far, so I wanted to take it one step further. How about some bold predictions? SI puts four Big Ten teams in preseason top 25

ESPN released its preseason Top 25 Power Rankings on Tuesday, and it was SI’s turn Wednesday. Like ESPN’s list, four Big Ten teams land on SI’s preseason top 25, and it’s the same teams, in the same order: Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Nebraska. See where all the Big Ten teams land in this post. No. 4: Ohio State “As Urban Meyer enters his third season at Ohio State, his SEC-style front four should bull-rush the Buckeyes into the College Football Playoff. It's Left-handers day! Take a look at our favorite B1G lefties

Lefties, today is your big day! Aug. 13, 2014 marks the 22nd annual International Left-Handers Day. In honor of the special day, I created a list of some of my favorite left-handed Big Ten athletes. Countdown to kickoff: West best uniform?

Kickoff is fast approaching. To help count down the days to Aug. 28, the BTN.com team is discussing one topic every day. Think of it as our countdown to kickoff. Today’s topic: West best uniform? See Tom Dienhart, Sean Merriman and Brent Yarina’s picks in this post. See our other countdown features: Tom Dienhart: Nebraska. I just like the classic simplicity of the “N” helmet, which is iconic. Too conservative for you? Well, the school has introduced some alternate looks to spice things up. Still, the iconic basic red jersey and white pants are difficult to top. *** Sean Merriman:

Four B1G teams land on ESPN's top 25 Power Rankings

With the College Football Playoff era upon us, ESPN.com decided to assemble a 13-member committee to create its preseason Top 25 Power Rankings. Four Big Ten teams made the list, headlined by Ohio State (No. 6) and Michigan State (No. 7), last year’s Big Ten title game participants. Wisconsin came in at No. 17, and Nebraska No. 22. ESPN’s top 5, you ask? It looks like this: 1. Florida State; 2. Alabama; 3. Oklahoma; 4. Oregon; 5. Auburn. Here’s what they say about the Big Ten teams: No. 6: Ohio State Phil Steele, on Buckeyes: “Urban Meyer has yet to
