There are certain dunks that simply make you say “wow”, and then there is the type of dunk that Austin Hollins had in the second half of Wednesday night’s win over Wisconsin. Minnesota’s senior guard drove to the basket and exploded for a huge one-handed slam over Wisconsin freshman Nigel Hayes. Even better, Hollins was fouled on the slam. Watch it in this post.
We had two terrific games tonight on the Big Ten Network. Michigan kicked off the action with an impressive 75-67 win over Iowa in Ann Arbor. Minnesota followed with an 81-68 upset victory over Wisconsin at the Barn.

Northwestern received great news Tuesday, as running back Venric Mark was granted a medical hardship for a fifth season of eligibility. Mark’s return bolsters what will be a strong collection of running backs in the Big Ten in 2014. Here’s my ranking of the conference’s Top 10 backs for next season.
Ohio State at Nebraska kicked off the week with a rare Monday night game. And, it was a doozy, as the Cornhuskers sent the Buckeyes to a fourth loss in a row. Was that a portent of things to come this week?
