Rodney Williams Channels Inner Blake Griffin

Put Minnesota’s Rodney Williams in a dunk contest against pretty much anyone, and he’s going to hold his own. What about 2011 NBA Dunk Contest winner Blake Griffin? Who knows how the Minnesota junior would fair against arguably the best dunker, but BTN color commentator Eddie Johnson made this interesting comment about one of Williams’ two highlight-reel jams Saturday: “That had Blake Griffin written all over it.” You know what? Dienhart: On Stars, Coaches & Tourney Chances

Draymond Green for Big Ten MVP? It’s an easy pick, says Terry Foster of the Detroit News. Who can argue with that? Green is the only player in the Big Ten who is averaging a double-double. Spring Football: What's On The Horizon

Illinois Fighting Illini football

Al Borges - Howard Griffith Conversation

Big Ten football is almost back. Spring practices are set to begin with Northwestern kicking off on March 3 and most sessions culminate with a spring game of sorts. Three schools have new head coaches (Illinois, Ohio State, and Penn State) and the usual roster turnover hits every squad, too. In anticipation of these practices, I took a quick look at three primary areas of development for each school. And here’s the list of spring dates I posted a while back.
