A desire to see kids as happy as possible brought out the entrepreneurial spirit of a group of University of Minnesota students. Wanting to make life easier for children on the autism spectrum, students in the university’s year-long Entrepreneurship in Action program created what they call a “Nesel Pack.” It works in a number of ways to help soothe kids with autism, who feel more comfortable when they’re secured. The University of Minnesota women’s hockey team defeated previously undefeated and top-seeded Boston College, 3-1, to earn its seventh national championship at Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire, on Sunday afternoon. Rachel Banham recorded her third 40-point game of the season, leading the Gophers (20-11, 11-7 Big Ten) to an 87-80 win over UW-Milwaukee (19-12, 12-6 Horizon) in the opening round of the WNIT. Banham’s 48 points were the most scored by an individual college player, women’s or men’s, in Williams Arena history, and set the record for most points in a WNIT game. Banham became the first player in program history to record three 40-point games in their career.
