Did You See This? Roundtree's catch, in video & photos

No matter what happens from here on out, Michigan wide receiver Roy Roundtree will be remembered for his catch in Saturday’s game vs. Northwestern. The 53-yard tip reception was jaw-dropping regardless of the game situation, but it was all the more ridiculous because it set up Michigan’s game-tying field goal with two seconds left at Michigan Stadium. The Wolverines, of course, went on to win the game in overtime.

Gardner, Michigan down Northwestern in overtime

Devin Gardner ran for a 1-yard touchdown in overtime and Michigan’s defense responded with a stop, giving the Wolverines a wild 38-31 win over Northwestern on Saturday. Trevor Siemian threw a 15-yard pass to Tony Jones with 3:59 left to give the Wildcats a 31-28 lead and Gardner threw an interception on the next snap.

3rd quarter recap: Northwestern 24, Michigan 21

Northwestern scored 10 points in the quarter, and the Wildcats now lead 24-21. Northwestern finished with 71 yards through the air and 74 on the ground in the quarter. Kain Colter threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Dan Vitale to break the 14-14 standstill in favor of the Wildcats. The play put the finishing touches on a 10-play, 75-yard scoring drive.

2nd quarter recap: Northwestern 14, Michigan 14

Northwestern’s Cameron Dickerson caught a 19-yard touchdown pass in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 14-14 at the end of the second. Michigan broke the 7-7 deadlock when Thomas Rawls ran one yard to paydirt to clinch a 10-play, 37-yard scoring drive. A fumble recovery by the Wolverines set Michigan up to start the drive. Starting for an injured Denard Robinson, Michigan’s Devin Gardner threw for 57 yards and ran for 25 yards and one touchdown in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 7-7 at the end of the first. No. 24 Northwestern scored when Venric Mark turned a handoff into a three-yard touchdown to cap off a 10-play, 78-yard drive, giving the Wildcats the game’s first lead. Video: Hardaway scores 1,000th point in win

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 25 points – including career point No. 1,000 – and grabbed 10 rebounds and Trey Burke added 21 points as they teamed up to lead No. 5 Michigan to a 100-62 victory over Slippery Rock on Friday at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.
