Ohio State national championship trophy leaves off Michigan

The Woody Hayes Athletic Center, on the campus of Ohio State, features an incredible new trophy display. Included in the display is the must-see 2014 National Championship Trophy, which features a list of all 15 games from the Buckeyes’ 2014 title run. However, the trophy happens to be missing the name “Michigan” on it. If you take a look at the photo above, OSU’s opponent on Nov. 29 is listed as “TUN,” which of course stands for “Team Up North.” That is the term the Buckeyes use to refer to their Big Ten rival school. Still, it will be a fun trip to south Florida for the Cornhuskers, who can send a message with a convincing win under first-year coach Mike Riley. Pitt’s trip to Iowa will be a good measuring stick for Kirk Ferentz’s crew, which

Which first-year Big Ten coach wins the most games in 2015?

Which first-year Big Ten coach will win the most games in 2015: Nebraska’s Mike Riley, Wisconsin’s Paul Chryst or Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh? Each is off to a 1-1 start this season. And each coach teems with promise and potential. I asked some leading college football media members what they thought. Read what they told me. Bill Bender, Sporting News: Paul Chryst. Look at the schedule. No Ohio State, Michigan State or even Michigan. The Badgers’ schedule is set up for at least nine wins; maybe more if they can win at Nebraska and Minnesota.
