Tickets for the 2014 Big Ten Football Championship Game will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, August 2 at noon ET. The fourth annual Big Ten Football Championship Game will be played on Saturday, December 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX with kickoff set for 8:17 p.m. ET.

Our friends at ESPN always do terrific work with their “My Wish” series. Tuesday night’s segment was extra special, though, because it featured diehard Michigan fan Stephen Loszewski, 18, who has acute lmyphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Loszewski’s football career was cut short by the cancer, so Brady Hoke and company invited him to Ann Arbor for a recruiting visit.

The Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday the 14 former players that will be in attendance at the 2014 Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon, presented by Allstate and BMW. The former standouts will be available for autographs and a photo session prior to the 43rd annual event, which will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at the Hilton Chicago and will mark the first official appearance of Maryland and Rutgers as members of the Big Ten.

With Big Ten media days Monday and Tuesday, media members are busy predicting what the conference landscape may look like in the upcoming 2014 season. One thing is for certain: The Big Ten should be loaded with talent on defense.
