The Big Ten had a league-record five baseball teams selected Monday for the 2015 NCAA baseball tournament, led by overall No. 6 seed Illinois. Big Ten tournament champion Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, and Maryland also landed spots. Another day, another highlight-reel catch at the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament. [ MORE: View our Big Ten tourney page | Watch #BTNStandout plays ] The latest entrant came via Michigan first baseman Carmen Benedetti on Sunday morning, and it might have been the best of the bunch. Not only did Benedetti’s catch occur in the Big Ten final, it came in incredible fashion, as he reached into the stands to retire Maryland in the top of the fifth inning. Day 4 of the 2015 Big Ten Baseball Tournament featured two outstanding games. In the first game of the day, No. 4 Maryland used a great pitching performance and timely hitting to get by No. 6 Indiana, 4-2. No. 3 Michigan followed that with an impressive 5-3 victory over No. 1 Illinois. The Terps and Wolverines will meet in Sunday’s Big Ten championship game at 2 p.m. ET on BTN.
