Annalise Pickrel scored 18 points and Jasmine Thomas and Klarissa Bell scored 17 apiece to lead Michigan State to a 68-61 victory over No. 25 Purdue Thursday night. Thursday’s women’s hoops roundup

Sam Ostarello had 14 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night to lead No. 14 Purdue to a 59-42 win over Indiana. KK Houser and April Wilson scored 12 points apiece for the Boilermakers (18-3, 7-1 Big Ten). Taylor Manuel added 11 points for Purdue, which held a 45-30 rebounding edge. It was one of six games in the Big Ten on Thursday and several of them ended in upsets.

Maggie Lucas scored 26 points, and Nikki Greene had 13 rebounds and hit three key second-half buckets to help No. 8 Penn State hold off Minnesota 64-59 on Thursday night. It was one of five Big Ten games.

Did You See This? ‘Halfcourt heave-ho!’

Near the very end of the first half of Thursday night’s women’s basketball game between Michigan State and Iowa on BTN/BTN2Go, Michigan State’s Klarissa Bell took the inbound pass, turned, and, well, watch the video for yourself. She’s a few steps from crossing center court, and while the shot doesn’t have much arc, they all count if they go through the hoop. The shot went in just before the buzzer sounded to tie the game, 25-25.
