No. 17 Purdue dropped Illinois, 77-66, behind Sam Ostarello’s double-double (21 points, 13 rebounds), while No. 21 Penn State rallied past Minnesota, 68-65, at The Barn. A day after Iowa sent No. 17 Purdue to its first Big Ten defeat, there were a pair of upsets in the Big Ten on Sunday. Behind Rachel Banham’s 20 points, Minnesota took down No. 9 Ohio State, 76-65, and Michigan State took down No. 19 Penn State, 83-73. Purdue Handles Michigan State, 67-49

(AP) Alex Guyton and Chelsea Jones each scored 12 points to help No. 13 Purdue defeat Michigan State 67-49 on Monday night. Brittany Rayburn scored 11 points, KK Houser finished with 10 and Courtney Moses added eight points and six assists for the Boilermakers (17-3, 7-0), who won their 10th straight and remained alone atop the Big Ten standings. Jones had 10 points in the second half and finished with six rebounds. Lykendra Johnson had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Kiana Johnson added 14 points for the Spartans (12-8, 4-3), who lost their third straight after a 4-0 start

Michigan State downs Michigan, 60-55

Michigan State used a 19-5 run midway through the second half to erase a halftime deficit and beat rival Michigan, 60-55, on Wednesday night at the Breslin Center. The win was the Spartans’ 18th in the last 19 meetings with the Wolverines, including winning the last 10 games. The Spartans(10-5, 2-0) were led by 13 points from senior Porsche Poole.
