The Big Ten conference announced the 2014 Big Ten Softball Tournament bracket on Sunday, with Michigan earning the No. 1 seed after clinching a share of its 18th conference championship. Nebraska, which secured the No. 2 seed in the tournament, also earned a share of its first Big Ten title after completing a three-game sweep of Indiana on Sunday.

The Michigan State softball team honored Lacey Holsworth during its game Wednesday afternoon vs. Indiana. Holsworth, the 8-year-old with neuroblastoma who befriended Michigan State star basketball player Adreian Payne, died from cancer late Tuesday night. Watch the softball team’s tribute in this post.
