No. 2 Missouri tops No. 1 Iowa in NWCA National Duals finals

No. 1 Iowa dropped an 18-12 decision to No. 2 Missouri on Sunday in the finals of the EAS/NWCA National Duals tournament. The top-ranked Hawkeyes got wins from Cory Clark (133), Nick Moore (165), Mike Evans (174), and Bobby Telford (285), but lost four one-point decisions and six-of-10 bouts overall to suffer their first loss of the season. “They rode tough on top and they control tied us to death. They weren’t rides where they have tricks. They are hard, driving forward type rides. They came in to beat us and they did at six weights,” Iowa head coach Tom

Big Ten champ Iowa remains No. 1 in latest NWCA Coaches Poll

Iowa, fresh off clinching at least a share of the Big Ten crown for the seventh time in eight years, remains No. 1 in the latest USA Today/NWCA Coaches Poll, released Tuesday. The Hawkeyes, who won at four-time reigning NCAA champ and No. 5 Penn State on Sunday, is one of 10 Big Ten teams ranked, four of which are in the top 5. No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Minnesota and No. 5 Penn State join the Hawkeyes in the top 5. No. 2 Missouri, of the Mid-American Conference, is the only non-Big Ten team in the top 5.
