Penn State aired it out to the tune of 132 passing yards in the quarter, and the Nittany Lions lead 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Penn State got on the scoreboard first, rattling off a nine-play, 84-yard drive that ended in a score when Matt McGloin and Jesse James combined for a 31-yard touchdown.

It was a festive Friday night in Iowa city as the Iowa men’s and women’s basketball team held their “Black & Gold Blowout” event as part of the traditional “Midnight Madness.” See video highlights in this post, including a clip of Iowa men’s coach Fran McCaffrey and Iowa women’s coach Lisa Bluder each arriving in style. Iowa’s “Black & Gold Blowout” is Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. ET and Indiana’s “Hoosier Hysteria” is Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET.
