Augustana stuns Iowa with buzzer-beater in exhibition game

Do you believe in miracles? [ MORE: Get the full Big Ten men’s basketball exhibition schedule ] Augustana does, which was evident by what took place during Friday night’s exhibition basketball game between the Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes. With the game tied 74-74 in the final seconds, Augustana’s Dan Jansen hit a fadeaway jumper as the buzzer sounded to give the Vikings the stunning 76-74 upset victory over the Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Iowa. It’s a historical week for the Big Ten. With a 31-15 victory over Maryland last Saturday, Iowa continues to keep pace with Ohio State and Michigan State as the three remaining undefeated teams in the conference. But what makes this so special is that the Big Ten has three teams who have all reached 8-0 for the first time in 112 seasons.
