It’s never too early to look ahead to next season, right? Actually, yes, the day after the completion of one season is entirely too early to start analyzing the next. But even if we don’t know which stars will return and which ones will go pro, it’s fun to consider what next season may bring. See my super-early 2013-14 power rankings in this post. Key player: Iowa had no answer for Baylor big men Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin. Jefferson finished with 23 points, while Austin had 15. They hit a combined 14-of-18 shots and had 17 rebounds and six blocks.

Pierre Jackson had his fourth straight double-double with 17 points and 10 assists to lead Baylor to the first National Invitation Tournament title in school history with a 74-54 win over Iowa on Thursday night.
