At approximately 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, following the men’s basketball game between Iowa and Indiana, BTN will air a new episode of “The Journey: Big Ten Basketball 2013.”
Greg Shaheen, who ran the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for 12 years, will join BTN host Mike Hall to take fans inside the tournament selection process, from who’s in the room to where the top seeds are headed and why, to how Big Ten teams stack up in 2013. The 60-minute special, Inside the Selection Process, airs at 9 p.m. ET Monday.
The last two nights in the Big Ten have provided college basketball fans with two exciting upsets and a pair of the more impressive blocked shots of the season. On Tuesday night, it was Rodney Williams jumping out of the gym to block a final-minute Victor Oladipo 3-pointer. And tonight, it was Eric May coming from behind to swat Terone Johnson in the final minute. Which block was better? Watch both in this post and vote below.
When Big Ten basketball fans think Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, they probably see his red face, his intensity, basically the guy in this video. That wasn’t the case Wednesday night. Iowa gave away Fran McCaffery bobbleheads for the Purdue game, and the coach was as carefree and happy as ever.
Aaron White had 18 points and nine rebounds and Iowa beat Purdue 58-48 on Wednesday night for its fourth win in five games. Devyn Marble also had 18 for the Hawkeyes (18-10, 7-8 Big Ten), who put an ugly loss at Nebraska behind them ahead of this weekend’s trip to top-ranked Indiana.

Indiana suffered another road loss to a previously scuffling squad, this time falling at Minnesota by four points. Much has been said about Cody Zeller’s lack of offensive production on this night (nine points, four turnovers, five fouls), but the Hoosiers scored quite well with their big man scuffling.
