ACC/Big Ten Women's Challenge matchups set

The Big Ten and ACC announced Tuesday the matchups for the 2012 ACC/Big Ten Women’s Basketball Challenge, set for Nov. 28-29, 2012. Indiana makes Miller 9th women's hoops coach

Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass announced Wednesday the  hiring of Curt Miller, who owns the 16th-best winning percentage in NCAA Division I history, as IU’s new head women’s basketball coach. Glass and Miller agreed to a six- year contract, starting at a salary of $275,000 per year. Indiana to search for new women's hoops coach

Indiana Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass announced Monday that women’s basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack will not be back and that the school will begin its search for her replacement immediately. “After a deliberate and thorough review of all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including meeting with Felisha and interviews with all current players, I have concluded that under the current circumstances Felisha is no longer in a position to turn the program around,” Glass said. “Delaying the inevitable isn’t fair to her, the program and its fans, and most importantly the student-athletes on this team. The 2011-12 All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Teams were announced live on BTN on Monday night. Ohio State’s Samantha Prahalis, Minnesota’s Rachel Banham and Penn State’s Coquese Washington were named player of the year, freshman of the year and coach of the year, respectively, by both the coaches and media. Big Ten Women's Tournament bracket released

The Big Ten Conference announced the bracket on Sunday for the 2012 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, with conference champion Penn State earning the No. 1 seed and one of four first-round byes. The tournament is set for Thursday-Sunday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, previously known as Conseco Fieldhouse. BTN and BTN2Go will air the tournament’s first 10 games, starting with No. 7 Michigan-No. 10 Illinois at 11:30 a.m. ET Thursday. The championship game will be played at 4 p.m. ET Sunday.
