Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Penn State make WNIT

Hours after four Big Ten Conference women’s basketball programs earned a place in the NCAA Tournament, another four Big Ten schools were chosen to participate in this year’s Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), it was announced late Monday evening by the event’s organizer, Triple Crown Sports. The 64-team single-elimination event begins this week and culminates with the championship game at 3 p.m. (ET) April 1 — all WNIT home games involving Big Ten schools from the first through the semifinal rounds will be televised live on BTN2Go and the BTN2Go app, with the title game airing live on CBS Sports

Big Ten hoops family reacts to legend Pat Summitt's death

Pat Summitt, the winningest coach in Division I college basketball history who lifted the women’s game to national prominence during her 38-year career at Tennessee, died Tuesday. She was 64.
