Fred Glass announced the hiring of Seymour, Ind., native Teri Moren as head coach of the IU women’s basketball program, the school announced in a press release Saturday.

Indiana announced Friday that it has accepted the resignation of women’s basketball coach Curt Miller due to “personal health and family reasons.” According to the school, while Miller is stepping down as head coach effective immediately, he will take until the end of the month to fully transition out of the University.
The matchups for the 2014 ACC/Big Ten Women’s Basketball Challenge were announced Wednesday afternoon. The annual challenge, which will run Dec. 3-4, is in its eighth edition and will feature 14 games for the first time.
Four Big Ten teams were named to the 2014 WNIT field, it was announced Monday night, hours after five of the conference’s teams made the NCAA tournament. Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Northwestern will compete in the tournament, starting Wednesday. Read more about each team’s berth in this post.
Cyesha Goree had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Michigan beat Indiana 82-57 on Thursday night in the opening round of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament. Shannon Smith had 16 points and Nicole Elmblad added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolverines, who will advance to play Michigan State on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
