Tuesday’s Iowa-Indiana game was postponed due to a piece of metal that fell from the ceiling and damaged seats in the lower part of Section F, which is located in the northwest corner of the building. See a video of the metal falling and pictures of the damage in this post.
Indiana’s game against No. 15 Iowa was postponed Tuesday night after an 8-foot long, 50-pound piece of metal inside Assembly Hall fell from the ceiling into empty seats in the northwest corner of the arena.
The spotlight this week swings on Ann Arbor, where Michigan will play host to Michigan State in a battle between Big Ten front-runners this weekend. Each squad is 10-3 in league action. Wisconsin and Iowa are right behind the Wolverines and Spartans. And, ironically, the Badgers and Hawkeyes meet in a big game in Iowa City this week.

Indiana’s season reached a new low in Saturday’s drubbing at Purdue. The Boilermakers busted the game open after intermission, and the one thing that had been a relative constant for the Hoosiers–a solid defense–went by the wayside. To be fair, some of this was just Purdue having a fantastic afternoon from the perimeter (10-for-18 on threes), but Indiana didn’t offer much resistance either.
