After completing a season sweep of Michigan State, the Wolverines maintain the top spot in my latest Big Ten Power Rankings, presented by ArcelorMittal. Is there a more exciting team to watch in the Big Ten than the Indiana Hoosiers? While inconsistent, they like to play above the rim and are no strangers to highlight plays. Fans were treated to a flurry of dunks in the first half Saturday night, three of which came from high-flying freshman forward Troy Williams.
There were three Big Ten men’s hoops games on Saturday, highlighted by Wisconsin’s impressive 79-74 road win over Iowa. In other conference action, Indiana got a 61-56 road victory over Northwestern, and No. 24 Ohio State rallied and ran past Minnesota, 64-46. Assembly Hall is now fully operational and open to perform regular gameday activities, the Indiana basketball program announced Saturday in a press release. There will be no seating restrictions or changes for the remainder of the basketball season.
