Get your All-Big Ten Women's hoops teams

The 2011-12 All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Teams were announced live on BTN on Monday night. Ohio State’s Samantha Prahalis, Minnesota’s Rachel Banham and Penn State’s Coquese Washington were named player of the year, freshman of the year and coach of the year, respectively, by both the coaches and media. Big Ten Women's Tournament bracket released

The Big Ten Conference announced the bracket on Sunday for the 2012 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, with conference champion Penn State earning the No. 1 seed and one of four first-round byes. The tournament is set for Thursday-Sunday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, previously known as Conseco Fieldhouse. BTN and BTN2Go will air the tournament’s first 10 games, starting with No. 7 Michigan-No. 10 Illinois at 11:30 a.m. ET Thursday. The championship game will be played at 4 p.m. ET Sunday.

Sunday's Women's Hoops Roundup

It was a busy Sunday of Big Ten women’s basketball, as all 12 teams were in action on the season’s final day. No. 15 Penn State routed Minnesota to claim the outright Big Ten title, No. 23 Nebraska took down No. 14 Ohio State in a battle of ranked teams and Purdue blasted archrival Indiana. PSU clinches share of title; Illinois beats Northwestern

Monday night featured a pair of Big Ten women’s basketball games, and it also saw Penn State clinch at least a share of its first Big Ten title since 2004. The Lady Lions accomplished the feat by powering past ranked Ohio State, 84-66, at the Bryce Jordan Center. In other action, Illinois dropped instate rival Northwestern, 69-57.
