Relive Ten Top Moments from This Season

When the season dawned back in November, most experts felt Ohio State would win the crown. Well, the Buckeyes needed some late-season heroics to take a share of what was a three-way tie between themselves, Michigan State and Michigan. In between, there were a lot of highs and lows in an exciting Big Ten title chase. So here’s a look at my top 10 moments from the 2011-12 season. Don’t forget: As we put the regular season behind us and dive right into Thursday’s tournament games, I’ll be joining BTN.com’s Big Ten Geeks bloggers in a live blog from courtside

Look Back At The Top Games of 2011-2012

Who can forget Christian Watford’s long-distance dagger as the clock hit zero to lift Indiana over Kentucky and set off the part at Assembly Hall? What about William Buford’s Spartan-killing shot from the top of the key last Sunday to propel Ohio State over Michigan State to win a share of the Big Ten title? Great moments in great games. As we approach the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, I looked back at one wild Big Ten men’s basketball season and laid out my top 17 games. Why 17? Because I can. Bonus: We included video clips, too. I list them

Get the 2011-12 All-Big Ten hoops teams

BTN announced the 2011-12 All-Big Ten Men’s Basketball Teams live on Monday night. Michigan State star Draymond Green was the only unanimous first-team player and also won Player of the Year from the coaches and the media, while Green’s coach, Tom Izzo, claimed both Coach of the Year honors. As for the highly debated Freshman of the Year laurel, Trey Burke (media) and Cody Zeller (coaches) were both selected. Let the debate continue! See all the teams and superlative winners in this post. Earlier Monday, BTN.com’s Tom Dienhart and Brent Yarina posted their own teams. See them here. Watch our

Michigan claims top spot in power rankings

Now that the Big Ten regular season has come to a close, it’s time to release my latest Big Ten men’s hoops power rankings. The rankings are not meant to mimic the Big Ten standings. What fun would that be? They aren’t scientific, either. They’re simply my thoughts on where each Big Ten team stands right now and who would win on a neutral court. Agree? Disagree? Monday's Links: Tourney, Football & Awards

In my first daily batch of links for this week, Matt Charboneau of the Detroit News tells us that Delvon Roe feels Branden Dawson’s pain. No doubt, and Dawson’s loss for the rest of the season to a knee injury suffered in the loss to Ohio State will have a big impact on Michigan State in the postseason. This is a slumping Spartan squad that enters the Big Ten tourney as the No. 1 seed but riding consecutive losses at Indiana and at home yesterday to the Buckeyes on Senior Day. Now, this: News that the freshman sensation is done.

Dienhart: Instant Big Ten tourney analysis

The bracket for the 15th Big Ten tourney is set, with games beginning on Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin are the top four seeds, respectively, with each receiving a bye in the first round. But the other eight schools will be in action on the first day of a tourney that has been dominated by Ohio State in recent years. The Buckeyes have been to the tourney title game each of the last three years, winning the last two. Ohio State also won the 2007 crown. But 2012 brings a fresh slate
