BTN announces 2014-15 Big Ten men's basketball coverage

BTN will televise a record number of men’s conference basketball games this season. The slate features 77 conference matchups, including 10 straight weeks of “Super Wednesdays” and five Big Ten Tournament games for the first time in BTN history.

Illinois guard Tracy Abrams out for season with torn ACL

Illinois senior point guard Tracy Abrams suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a preseason skill workout and will be forced to miss the entire 2014-15 season, the school announced Thursday. BTN Live released the new format for the Big Ten men’s and women’s tourneys on Thursday night. Now that the conference boasts 14 teams with the addition of Maryland and Rutgers, the events will start a day earlier and run Wednesday-Sunday. This year’s women’s tourney will be March 4-8, and the men’s March 11-15. See the brackets in this post. Wednesday will feature two games: No. 12 vs. No. 13 and No. 11 vs. No. 14.
