Purdue center A.J. Hammons says he will return for his senior season, after helping the Boilermakers return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012.
Turns out, Purdue’s new gray alternate uniform won’t be the lone design it debuts in 2015. The Boilermakers unveiled a new white alternate helmet in the tweet above during Saturday afternoon’s spring game at Ross-Ade Stadium. What do you think, Big Ten fans? Like gray uniforms, white helmets are becoming more and more popular. Illinois, Indiana and Northwestern have added a white option to their combinations in recent years, while Minnesota wore one in its bowl game two years ago. This much is certain: The players and recruits will like this new lid, especially the gold details on the facemask.
Down four goals in the fourth quarter? No problem. No. 3 Maryland rallied from a 9-5 deficit early in the fourth quarter to force overtime and beat No. 11 Ohio State on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
This was impressive. Jesse King netted the highlight goal in a game full of highlight goals during the highly anticipated No. 3 Maryland-No. 11 Ohio State battle Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

With each passing year, Jerry Kill keeps taking Minnesota to new levels. It has been quite amazing, really. From a 3-9 debut in 2011 to a trip to the program’s first New Year’s Day bowl since the 1961 season, it has been a fun ride in Dinkytown. And Kill looks to keep pushing the Golden Gophers up the hill in the Big Ten coming off an 8-5 mark (5-3 Big Ten). Don’t bet against him or his astute staff. Minnesota finished second in the Big Ten West last season before losing to SEC East champ Missouri in the Citrus Bowl.
