The third quarter saw both teams combine for no points and one turnover and the margin is still six, as Iowa State leads 9-3. Steele Jantz clinched a 200-yard passing game with 46 in the quarter, part of his 209-yard day through three quarters for the Cyclones.
The offense led Michigan State to 10 third-quarter points, and the Spartans now lead 34-0. Michigan State finished with 62 yards through the air and 71 on the ground in the quarter. The Spartans opened up the lead, 31-0, after Andrew Maxwell found Bennie Fowler open for a seven-yard touchdown pass to end a five-play, 65-yard drive. Michigan State’s drive was highlighted by Maxwell’s 48-yard pass.

Michigan picked up 81 yards in the ground game during the third quarter, and the Wolverines now lead 28-17. Michigan opened up the lead, 21-10, after marching down the field for a one-play, 58-yard drive that ended when Denard Robinson took a quarterback draw all the way for a 58-yard touchdown run.
Oregon State’s Colby Prince led the offense in the second quarter. He caught two passes for 37 yards, and the Beavers now lead 3-0.

Notre Dame’s Everett Golson threw for 85 yards and ran for eight yards and one touchdown in the quarter, and the two teams are tied 7-7 at the end of the second. The Fighting Irish took the game’s first lead after Golson scrambled for a three-yard touchdown run on the last play of a 10-play, 88-yard drive. Notre Dame used Golson’s 41-yard pass to fuel the drive.
Michigan State looks to be in control of the game as it leads 24-0 at the end of the second quarter. The Spartans opened up the lead, 14-0, after marching down the field for a 10-play, 87-yard drive that ended when Le’Veon Bell turned a handoff into a seven-yard touchdown.
