Purdue Lunabotics, a student organization dedicated to the development of robots for space exploration, lifted off in Fall 2014 with a core group of six students and no workspace or resources to speak of. But a successful funding campaign raised some $20,000 in grants for the group from various Purdue departments, including the Student Organization Grant Allocation Board, Purdue

Maryland football to wear throwback uniform Oct. 24 vs. Penn State

The Maryland football team will look a lot different when it takes the field again Oct. 24. Off this week, the Terrapins will wear an Under Armour throwback uniform in Mike Lockley’s debut as the interim head coach in Week 8 vs. Penn State. The uniform is inspired by Maryland’s 1961 home design, the first in the nation to feature player surnames on the back of the jerseys. The game will mark the second consecutive time Penn State’s opponent will debut a new alternate uniform. In Week 7, defending national champ and No. 1 Ohio State will wear an all-black

Big Ten hoops players assemble their All-Time Big Ten Team

BTN Stats Guys share Week 7 facts before Saturday's BTN games

Week 2 of conference play showcased all types of games. We had an offensive explosion in Columbus (Ohio State’s season-high 49 points), two narrow escapes (Michigan State winning by seven at Rutgers and Wisconsin nipping Nebraska by two), a defensive clinic (Michigan recording their third straight shutout, the first time a Big Ten team has done that in 35 years) and a complete blowout (Minnesota with a 41-13 triumph at Purdue). Not included in that mix was Iowa remaining the Big Ten’s third unbeaten team with a victory over Illinois and Penn State reaching 5-1 with a dominating win against Indiana.  When
